DO NOT LEAVE ENVELOPE WITH PAYMENTS UNATTENDED!

LETTER from the TREASURER, PETER HAAK

To the SITE-OWNERS of STONEWALL ACRES

Edward Dunedin once said " Don't give up in times of difficulty. Persevere on as there will be and end to these". That pretty much sums up how our lives and our way of living has changed during this pandemic. When will this all end and life gets back to normal? No one seems to know. But, we have all "persevered on" in spite of it. And it will come to an end someday.

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude, on behalf of all the Canadian Stonewall site owners, to those who have volunteered and set aside their personal struggles during this pandemic to help us with our lots, maintaining the beauty of the common areas, and just keeping everything at Stonewall running smoothly. Thank you.

The Stonewall maintenance account is in good standing at this time with a balance of over $21,000. This has been a result of good money management and the tireless efforts by the all Stonewall executive members "on the ground" working to keep our park healthy, safe, vibrant, and ready for next year's camping season.

Personally, I would like to thank my fellow Stonewall site owners for placing your trust in me and allowing me to serve you as treasurer over the past nearly 10 years. It has truly been a pleasure. I will not be running for the position of Treasurer again in the fall of 2021 as I believe it is time for me to move aside and give others an opportunity to serve this great community.  In closing I'd like us to hope that our perseverance during these times will pay off and we can once again enjoy this great  park and our fellowship soon.

Pete Haak

A MOTTO FOR STONEWALL ACRES: PLEASE SEND IN YOUR SUGGESTIONS

Hello Stonewall site-owners,

A motto is a “phrase that encapsulates the beliefs and ideals” of an organization.

It has been years since the establishment of Stonewall Acres and we have never had a phrase that summarizes what we are as a community.

This upcoming season, you are welcome to participate in the creating of a motto to represent Stonewall Acres. Everyone's ideas will be considered to be used fully or partially in the making of the most suitable statement. Stay tuned for more information about joining a committee that will help with the selection and final creation of Stonewall’s new motto. In the meantime, please begin sending your ideas to me by using the CONTACT US form on our website or writing to stonewalacres@gmail.com.

Happy Camping

Deb
